SELECT & ALL STAR GENERAL INFORMATION

In addition to its House League program, the Club offers the more competitive soccer programs described below as part of its mission to develop coaches and players to their full potential. The Club provides financial support to these programs to defray costs to those who participate in the various programs. All who are associated with the Club (players, coaches and parents) and those who support the mission of the Club are encouraged to support these programs.

 

Select

Select soccer teams are formed of players who wish to play soccer that, generally, is more  challenging and competitive than the soccer that is played at the House League level. Some players may play Select soccer as a means of improving their skills with a view to playing an even more competitive soccer, Rep soccer, at a later date.

Teams play in leagues against other Select teams from other clubs within the area governed by the Hamilton & District Soccer Association. Select teams may also enter tournaments.  

A number of Select soccer coaches have been established for 2008.

There is a fee to play Select soccer in addition to the basic club registration fee. Some travel will be involved with the usual associated costs.

The Select program operates with the Competitive Program. Persons who are interested in learning about Select team coaching opportunities or in learning more about playing Select soccer should visit the Club’s website or contact the MHYSC administration office.

All Star

All Star soccer teams consist of players who play at the House League level with the Club. Players who play All Star soccer continue to play with their house league team. In addition those players will play in weekend tournaments that teams enter on an individual basis.

A number of All Star team coaches will be selected for 2008: The All Star coaches will contact the House League coaches with information for House League players about playing All Star soccer in 2008.  

There is a fee to play All Star soccer in addition to the basic club registration fee. Some travel will be involved with the usual associated costs.

The All Star program is supervised by the Club’s Vice-President. Persons who are interested in learning about All Star team coaching opportunities or in learning more about playing All Star soccer should visit the Club's website or contact the office with your email directed to the Clubs Vice-President for further information.
