Recreational Soccer: Indoor Season

Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club (MHYSC) offers recreational winter soccer programming which is primarily devoted to a soccer player’s enjoyment and development without the emphasis on stringent travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for all MHYSC participants (coaches, officials and players) to have fun, be active, learn the “beautiful game” and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

MHYSC is also a proud supporter and leading provider of Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD). LTPD provides for a pathway of fun, enjoyment, skill development and a talent identification system through training and competition. Players, regardless of skill level will be competing against each other during their weekly game. MHYSC will de-emphasize standings at the early ages and there will be no published results of game scores until age 13 in accordance with Canada Soccer’s LTPD principles. There will be plenty of competition and plenty of games; we just won’t focus on standings; the focus will be on player development and enjoyment of the game.

The winter recreational program will offer players u3-u6 the opportunity to be active, play age-appropriate fun activities as well as some 3v3 soccer. Our u7-u8 program offer’s players the opportunity to play a 5v5 game each week with our u9 – u12 program receiving the opportunity to play in a 7v7 game. All age groups within our winter house league will operate one day/evening per week. For more information on our fall program including days, times and locations please see below.
